Racing and offroading are American traditions that are being jeopardized by arbitrary interpretations of the Clean Air Act, by the EPA, which makes it illegal for motor vehicles designed for street use—including a car, truck, or motorcycle—to be converted into dedicated racecars, even if they are no longer driven on public streets or highways.
Prohibiting the modification of street vehicles unfairly targets a myriad of recreative activities that are enjoyed by millions of law-abiding sports enthusiasts and racers including those involved in Quad racing, Karting, Car racing, Drifting, Snowmobiling, RC cars, Boating, RV’ing, Side-by-sides, Motorsports, and Powersports.
It would also affect thousands of legal businesses including those manufacturing, installing, and selling after-market modifications – including superchargers, tuners, and exhaust systems – race tracks, landscaping, and ground maintenance.
As a former NASCAR driver, Jerrod understands both the passion for racing as well as the need for environmental protection. He is the ideal candidate to deal with issues that have been botched by overzealous environmentalists who have no understanding of how modified vehicles are used by enthusiasts.
In this interview with Nick Adams from Scoggin Dickey, Jerrod explains how the EPA is sidestepping Congress and using the “Administrative State” to push its agenda through. As always, it is Jerrod’s mission to return government and governmental decisions to the people to whom they belong.
For those of us with the spirit of adventure, for whom the wildness of America still holds the rugged appeal that calls only to those who have wandered off the beaten path. For those of us who need, occasionally, to throw off the strictures of screens and walls to embrace the savageness of the great unknown. For those of us for whom speed is synonymous with joy. For those of us who build with our hands and can never fully get the grease out from under the fingernails, there is someone who understands the feeling.
With Jerrod in Congress, we can rest assured that a well-established American sport and a beloved way of life is not made obsolete by a panicked “Climate obsessed” administration without due consideration to all sides of the issue.
Please consider donating to Jerrod for Congress, join the Great American Restoration, and say YES to America!
