Would you look at these children and ask them to apologize for Pearl Harbor?
Of course not! They are children and are in no way responsible for the events of the past. Yet that is exactly what is happening in our schools under the guise of an evil, backward-looking, racist ideology known as Critical Race Theory.
If you’re a parent and you haven’t looked into CRT, you should. No matter your skin color or race, CRT will affect your family in some form, either labeling you an oppressor or dooming you to the status of the “oppressed.”
CRT builds on the premise of the 1619 project, which teaches that America was not founded in 1776 but rather in 1619 when the first slaves arrived on the shores of America. The 1619 project, and by extension its ungodly child CRT, teaches that America is a fundamentally racist country built on slavery and the evils of racism. It is irredeemable, and its citizens must forever bear the consequences of its sins, either by constantly being in a state of guilt (for the oppressor) or in a state of offense (for the oppressed).
Friends, the best way to fight a lie is to be armed with the truth. The 1619 project teaches that the Revolutionary war was fought to protect slavery. This could not be further from the truth. Yes, the evil of slavery existed during the Revolutionary war, but many of the founders of the country detested it and spoke against it. In one of the early drafts of the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson wrote a 168-word passage condemning the king of England for the evils of the slave trade foisted upon them.
“He has waged cruel war against human nature itself,“ Jefferson wrote, about the king, “violating its most sacred rights of life and liberty in the persons of a distant people who never offended him, captivating & carrying them into slavery in another hemisphere or to incur miserable death in their transportation thither. “
The founding fathers, although imperfect like each and every one of us, were not unmoved by the evils of slavery, nor was it the reason for the Revolutionary war. It is historical revisionism designed to confuse and divide. And the best place to start is in the schools.
I’m writing this because I want you to be aware of what is happening to your kids behind the closed doors of the classroom. Black kids are being taught that they are still oppressed. White kids are being taught that, regardless of how they feel, they are, and will always be, racist. Schools are separating children based on their “privilege.”Children are being taught that math is racist and that a teacher who asks kids to “show their work” in class is guilty of “micro-aggression.”
My fellow Americans, this evil theory is rapidly erasing the progress we have made in race relations since the civil rights movement, destroying in a matter of months what it has taken us decades to achieve.
It sets white against black, and vice versa, in a conflict that can never end because CRT offers no solutions. Only hate.
My wife and I chose to homeschool our 3 kids because we worried about the effects of public school indoctrination on their still-growing minds. As a father, I understand the need to protect our kids, by any means possible from the assault of the Left and their radical, immoral agenda.
Every parent should be able to choose their child’s education and set their curriculum according to their own morals and beliefs, but I understand this is not always realistic.
We can, however, expect our schools to stick to the three R’s and stay out of the business of indoctrination.
If we don’t stand up for our children now, we will lose them and radically and irreversibly change the direction of the country from a place of inclusion to a country in which every race regards others with suspicion.
In this post, I am including a link to a letter that you can send your teachers at the beginning of the school year to make clear that you will not stand for the indoctrination of our children.
I am also including a link to a petition you will find on our website asking the Biden administration to take action banning CRT in schools.
As your Congressman, I will fight for school choice and the protection of our children from teachings like CRT and other anti – American, anti-God teachings penetrating our education system.
Stand firm, my fellow Americans. We are on the side of truth and on the right side of history. We will not fail our children now. Thank you for standing with me for this beautiful, diverse country we call- home.
